Wellness Retreat Workshops

Discover a day dedicated to rejuvenation, connection, and celebration! Our Wellness Retreat will run from 11:00am-5:00pm, featuring a variety of movement and art workshops led by incredible local facilitators, a self-guided Community Art Hive, and plenty of opportunities to reset and recharge. Enjoy light snacks and tea throughout the day, plus a delicious lunch included in the day pass!


Retreat Participants can select up to 4 workshops throughout the day (1 workshop per time slot). 

Attendees are also welcome to enjoy the self-guided Community Art Hive anytime throughout the day from 10:30am-5:00pm.

  • Vital Mobility with Karen Sudds 

    11:00am-12:00pm

    Join Karen for a workshop that blends her expertise in dance, Pilates, Somatic practices, and Neuromuscular training to support healthy movement. Her method releases muscle tension, improves joint mobility, and builds essential strength for long-term vitality. With over 35 years of experience, Karen offers a safe, effective approach to movement training.

  • Breath & Body: A Somatic Reset with Colin Hood 

    11:00am-12:00pm

    Step into a whole new relationship with your body and breath in this transformative workshop. We’ll combine the wisdom of somatic movement with cutting-edge breathwork techniques inspired by free divers to help you unlock deeper body awareness, release stress, and build resilience. Whether you're looking to calm your mind or simply explore new ways to feel more alive, this session will leave you energized, centered, and ready to breathe easier in every sense.

  • Creative Connections: Expressive Arts with Heather Frayne 

    12:15pm-1:15pm

    Join expressive arts therapist, Heather Frayne, to explore various creative modalities as a way to check in with yourself.  Express yourself through movement, art-making and writing.  No artistic skills required! 


  • Grounded in Movement: Coordination and Flow with Colin Hood 

    12:15pm-1:15pm

  • Clay Creations: Hand-building with Jana Norris 

    2:15pm-3:45pm

    Guided by the wonderful Jana Norris, you’ll engage with the calming process of clay hand-building. No prior experience is needed—just come ready to experiment and create! Participants will explore how to create and paint a unique piece of hand-built pottery. Work will be glazed, fired and then pick up at a later time. 


    *Note: This workshop is 90 minutes and will run through the afternoon tea/snack break. 

  • Juggling: Learn to Fail! with Jospeh McManus 

    2:30pm-3:30pm

    No human being has ever learned to juggle without dropping a few balls along the way. Learn to embrace failure and rediscover the fun of learning a new skill at this hands-on circus workshop. Get ready to laugh and have fun as you explore the playful art of juggling! Led by the talented Joseph McManus, this workshop is all about letting go of perfection, embracing the joy of learning, and connecting with your inner child. 

  • Finding the Bridge with Kyra Newton 

    3:45pm-4:45pm

    Join Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and dance artist, Kyra Newton, to explore the connection between yourself and others. The workshop will be divided into three parts: 


    1) The first part will introduce you to polyvagal nurturing exercises to connect to your felt sense (physical sensations, emotions and the energy moving through your body). You can expect to feel present, engaged and open afterwards. 

    2) Then we will expand into creating secure attachment with the other participants in the room using attachment theory and embodiment tools. You can expect to laugh, explore feeling playful and also discover what feels more comfortable in your attachment system. 

    3) We will finish the workshop off with a group activity to remember what it feels like to be held energetically in community, followed by a brief circle for optional sharing about your experience. No experience is required to attend this workshop.

  • Journey Through the Labyrinth with Kathy Chapman 

    4:00pm-4:45pm

    Step into a reflective and meditative experience as you walk the labyrinth guided by Kathy, a skilled spiritual director. This ancient practice invites you to slow down, quiet your mind, and find a deeper sense of connection. Moving through the winding path of the labyrinth, you’ll have time to reflect, release, and rediscover a sense of inner peace and clarity. Whether you seek personal insight or simply a moment of stillness, this gentle journey offers a meaningful way to connect with yourself and the present moment.

Evening  Gala

The Evening Gala will run from 7:00pm-11:30pm featuring an array of activities and entertainment, including:

  • Live dance performance (Corps Bara Dance Theatre)

  • Dance film screening (from our Resonant Soul Film Series)

  • Interactive arts elements—express your creativity!

  • Silent auction

  • Dessert & Drinks (First glass of wine included)

  • Dance party with a live DJ

Wine served by the glass; additional glasses available for purchase. Bar closes at 11:00pm.
