We believe in the power of creativity to enlighten, as well as entertain. This guiding principal gives Corps Bara its character, energy and soul. Our goal is to inspire and engage audiences of all ages with innovative and excellent art. In order to impact the broadest possible audience base and invest in the future of dance in Canada, Corps Bara has created two initiatives which are committed to:
• Mentoring the next generation of dance artists and arts leaders (Youth Company)
• Providing career opportunities for both seasoned and emerging dance professionals

• Creating an artistic and spiritually nurturing community that unleashes creativity for the purpose of enriching all areas of society and culture (Both Companies)

History
Founded in 2000, Corps Bara is known for merging spirit and energy in its dynamic Professional Company and through its talented Youth Company. The two companies offer dancers the opportunity to work with local and international choreographers and to perform in a broad spectrum of venues. Each season the focus is on the creation of new contemporary dance productions committed to exploring the limits of dance while creating work that is a celebration of life.

Corps Bara dancers have gone on to further training in prestigious companies and schools throughout North America including: Alvin Ailey, Jose Limon, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, University of Calgary, University of Arizona and the Banff Centre.
